2
Q

After opening a cat bank how long must you wait before closing it? Why?

A

A minimum of five minutes

Because that’s how long it takes for the resistor inside the cap bank to bleed off the left over capacitance voltage that’s left over in the cap after de-energizing

6
Q

Why do we install AR’s?

A

Sectionalizing-bad acting circuits

Protection- far from the sub, can’t create enough phase to ground fault current

Change mode of operation- bulletin 322
