How should the PM perform any action requested by a procedure?
Indicate the related panel and control and announce in sequence:
‐ The name of the system
‐ The name of the control, or system reset
‐ The action.
E.g. “AIR, XBLEED, CLOSE”.
How should the PM manage ECAM/OEB/QRH actions after the PM announces “ECAM Actions” or launches a procedure?
‐ Read & Do the ECAM/QRH/OEB actions in a spoken voice
‐ Obtain PF confirmation before clearing any ECAM.
How should the PM confirm an ECAM failure memo after announcing it?
The PM should check/inspect the overhead panel and/or
associated SD, in order to analyze and confirm the failure,
before they take any action. The flight crew should keep in
mind that the sensors on the overhead panel and/or SD may
be different from the sensors that trigger the failure.
