Q

when you get a transfusion reaction 2 things can happen

Q

RH group

A

Rh is another type of antigen called D antigen that can be present (+) or not (-)
85% of humans have this blood type and it is only genetically determined and only found in blood cells
- if a person is - they onlt can develop an antibody if RH if exposed to RH -

Q

A

when RH- mother gets pregnant with RH+ of the second time, the proteins from the mother cross the placenta along with the RH- antibodies causing them to attack the baby’s blood
