Q

How will you prioritise emails in the e-tray excersise?

A

1)Urgent + High impact + involves Partner/Client = immediate action for actions preserve client relationships or reduce risk

2)Important but not urgent = schedule for later

3)Admin or social = deprioritise

also factor in time to each answer because there could be 2 that are high impact, urgent and involves partners but 1 could be due in an hour and the other could be due in 5 hours. obviously the one due in an hour would take higher priority

Q

what does “time is of the essence” mean in contract law?

A

Any delay — even 1 day — = serious breach → termination right or potential damages

Why is clause 4.6 (“Time shall be of the essence…”) commercially significant here? It allows RetailCo to treat any late delivery as a serious breach justifying termination.

Q

what does “time is not of the essence” mean in contract law?

A

Any delay — even 1 day — = minor breach → innocent party can claim damages only if they suffer loss. Termination is only available if the delay becomes unreasonable or triggers another clause
