A

A near place is physically or emotionally close to a person with a strong sense of belonging and place, a far place is the opposite where a person isn’t geographically or emotionally near a place and has no connection to it

A

An experienced place is somewhere that a person has physically and experienced for themselves, a media place is someone who has seen the place on TV or read about, they have not visited this place but the media can create perceptions of place but people haven’t visited media places

What is a public vs a private space?
Private places are places specific to us that we are very attached to, public spaces are available to everyone and even though we have individual experiences of places, lots of people use using this place influences it - so it is the people in the place

What are endogenous factors and exogenous factors and why does this become important with time?
Endogenous factors are factors that orgininate internally and exogenous are factors that originate externally and are links to other places . Over time these factors become more important as the importance of initial functions are diminished as technology advances occur

What are the physical endogenous factors of a place ansd explain what tehy mean ?
Topography - the shape of the landscape Location - where the place is located geographically on a map Physical geography - refers to environmental features like altitude, aspect, soil type, rock type

The shape of the land like in a valley land would be described as flat but in a mountainous region land would be characterised by steep slopes
