Megaloblatic anemia

MOA: Decreased folic acid and/or cobalamin interfere DNA synthesis which delays cell division. The megaloblastic anemia refers to dyserythropoiesis characterized by erythroid hyperplasia and dysplasia with abnormal large normoblasts (prorubricytes and rubricates). Megaloblastic cells are fragile and may be destroyed in the bone marrow.
