1. Use “you” forms singular and plural. Parla/parlate Prende/prendete apri/aprite
2. Verbs ending in -are use -Formal- I (parli) informal a (parla);
3. Ire and Ere use Formal- “a (parta- senta); and “i” informal
4. Per favore, passami il sale. “Pass me the salt, please.”
5. Use present subjunctive (formal) when issue suggestions invitations exhortations or polite orders
   a. Mi lasci il suo numero di telefono, per favore.-“ Sir/miss, would you give me your phone number, please?”
   b. Si rilassi, per cortesia.-“Sir/miss would you relax, please?”
6. Dammelo! (i.e., Dai a me quello!) “Give it to me!”
   ​a. . Fallo! (i.e., Fai quello!) “Do it!” Vacci! (i.e, Vai là!)
7. Negative imperative
   a. When you is singular; (can use infinitve)

    a. Parlami. (parla + mi, emphasis on the verb). Bevi l’acqua; bevila
    b. Fate a me un favore. Fatemi (fate + mi)-> un favore. “Do me a favor.”
    Fai a me un favore. -Fammi. → fa +-> (m)mi un favore. “Do me a favor.”Dì a me.; Dimmi. → di* +-> (m)mi. “Tell me.”; Vai lì.-> Vacci. → va + (c)ci. “Go there.”
