A
  • GI confirmed the lesson at the appropriate time
  • GI was on their way/at the lesson when the client cancelled
  • GI has notified the EL and obtained permission to load it as a cancelled lesson

One will have to fill out a cancellation report, which will be emailed to the EL, MD and parents. Lesson will be charged at half rate and GI is payed half the fee.

A message unread or undelivered on your phone is considered notification enough - ensure you have sufficient data

24

25
What must a GI do in the case that a student is evasive (not responding to messages etc)
- Get permission from the El to start using the GCG to communicate in a supervised setting (setting up lessons etc) - If it persists, regularly notify your EL and the student's parents

notify the office

28
What are the 3 purposes served by remarks?
Qualitative reflections on the lesson, discussed with the student at the end of every lesson. These get emailed to parents directly - to ensure the lesson has taken place as and when described - for feedback to the EL and parents - as a consolidatory exercise for the student and GI after each lesson
29
What happens when a lesson goes unremarked?

- The EL must be copied in on the email - Homework must be set on a Genius letterhead and printed to PDF - A screenshot of the sent email should be posted on the GCG
36
What does Genius say about checking in on students and requesting mock exams?
- other than check-ins, GI's must check up with a student personally after every test or exam - at any point, a GI can request that an EL organise that the student goes to the office to write a test/past paper under exam conditions (encouraged where appropriate)
37
What is the reimbursement procedure?
1. Picture of product or service sent 2. Pic of billing sent 3. Caption = "To be paid to Nathan Graham for a coffee mug for Josh Smith R43.22" 4. Double check amount 5. Send to EL within 24 hours 6. EL forwards to petty cash WAG and GI reimbursed
