Submucosal venous plexus and ring
The plexus is in the teat wall. The ring incompletely divides the gland sinus and the teat sinus.
Furstenburg’s rosette
Do a cross-sectional cut of teat, then turn it inside out, you see a rosette
Teat sinus
The space inside the teat. Once get past the mucosal fold (has the submucosal venous ring), then you have the gland sinus.
Both make up the lactiferous sinus
Papillary duct/teat canal
The very tip of the teat, ventral to the teat sinus
External smooth muscle sphincter
At the very tip of the teat, surrounds the papillary duct
