One Fire Bottle with each guarded switch controlling one of the two discharge nozzles

What happens when either the FWD or AFT guarded DISCH pb is pushed?

Answer 2

When pushed, the bottle is completely emptied in the corresponding area pushed

Question 3

When does the DISCH light come on in amber on the FWD/AFT smoke / discharge indicator?

Answer 3

1. DISCH for both sides (because there is only one Fire Bottle) comes in amber
2. Discharge in amber after 60 seconds after the guarded Discharge button is pushed and the bottle is fully discharged

What happens when there is Smoke in red on the FWD or AFT indicator illuminates?

Answer 4

Smoke in red light, Master Caution Warning, ECAM comes on when smoke is detected.

What happens when the Cargo Smoke Test pb is pushed for 3 seconds?

Answer 5

1. Tests the smoke detectors in sequence
2. Turn on red Smoke Lights twice and shows ECAM
3. Closes the isolation valves and cargo ventilation system
4. Discharge light comes on in amber
