Basic Interface Configuration
Basic Interface Configuration → Involves setting speed, duplex, and IP management parameters such as IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS; both sides must match for connectivity.
LAG
Link Aggregation → Combines multiple physical network links into one logical connection to increase bandwidth and provide redundancy.
LACP
Link Aggregation Control Protocol → IEEE 802.3ad standard used to automatically manage and negotiate link aggregation groups between devices.
MTU
Maximum Transmission Unit → The largest size packet that can be transmitted over a network interface without fragmentation.
Ethernet Frames
Ethernet Frames → Structured data units containing a header, payload, and trailer used for communication at Layer 2 of the OSI model.
Jumbo Frames
Jumbo Frames → Ethernet frames larger than the standard 1500 bytes, commonly set to 9000 bytes for high-performance data transfers.
