when can you psad on own authority

A

on AB lines if you know the signaller is no longer present physically checked or called signaller ahead and the box is closed you can draw to the next home signal of the next box

A

1-Defective signal
2-Defective ERTMS
3-Defective Level Crossing equipment

4-Shunting purposes
5-Starting beyond signal
6-Isolated section passed so electric train can reach limiting point
7-Obstruction (a train in AB is to pass a SS due to obstruction infront of signaller box)
8-station access in emergency

9-engineering train to join or leave line under possession
10-engineering train may join or leave a protected zone
11-train to pass signal protecting a possession to access station/siding under SLW

12-examining the line (protected by signal in case it isn’t safe)
13-failed train removal from section (protected by signal)
14-Removing train of a runaway train (train that’s proceeded without authority of where train has divided
15-assisting a failed train

16-single line working applies

A

TCB (double or multi track only)
the two signals have the same fault
no distant signal between the two signals
no TPWS at signal 2
line must have been examined and found clear up to and including the overlap at signal 3
signal 3 must be showing a proceed aspect
