3. Passes superficial to posterior facial vein and ECA
4. Divides into 5 terminals

4. Mandibular
5. Cervical

2. Passes forwards via tympanic membrane
3. Leave middle ear via pterotympanic fissure
4. Enters Infratemporal fossa
5. Joins lingual nerve deep to lateral pterygoid at acute angle to be distributed with its branches
