Open Circuit Configuration
- both inlet and outlet flaps are fully open
- on the ground with warm ambient conditions
Closed Circuit Configuration
- both inlet and outlet flaps are fully closed
- Skin Exchange Inlet Bypass Valves are open
- on the ground with cool ambient conditions
- also normal inflight, from TO power to landing
Intermediate Circuit Configuration
- inlet flap closed with the outlet small flap open
- this is inflight from the application of TO power in extremely warm ambient conditions

Smoke Configuration
Once the BLOWER and EXTRACT pushbuttons have been selected to OVRD, the blower fan will stop, while the extract fan continues to run. The inlet fap closes, the small outlet flap opens, the SKIN EXCHANGE ISOLATION VALVE closes and the SKIN EXCHANGE INLET BYPASS VALVE closes.
