A
  • Gene: sequence in DNA that hold the biological instructions for a specific trait and/or to build proteins
  • It directly determines characteristics (ex: eye color, hair color, blood type, etc)
  • It indirectly influence behaviors by shaping brain structures, neural pathways, and chemical activity (which makes some people more sensitive to certain things, leading to some being more vulnerable to certain mental disorders)
