  • Participants from individualistic cultures were significantly more likely to rate love as essential for forming new relationships (49% of Indian participants said that they would marry someone they weren’t in love with vs 3.5% in the USA)
  • Participants from individualistic cultures were significantly more likely to agree that the disappearance of love is a genuine cause for divorce
