How does the amygdala and hippocampus cause anxiety disorder?

A

Too much amygdala activity stimulates too much stress and too little hippocampal activity reduces HPA which reduces CRH release. The CRH affects ACTH which produces cortisol. The cortisol further reduces the activation of the hippocampus
