  • must get authority of the signaller/pilot or hand signaller acting on signallers instruction
  • understand how far the movement is to proceed
  • pass over points/switch diamonds/swing-nose crossings at max 15mph (checking in correct position)
  • not pass over unworked points unless told that they are secured/green hand signaller
  • be able to stop in the distance you can see to be clear
  • disregard any AWS indication

  • approach any locally operated crossings at caution, need green hand signal to cross
  • ## if no wrong-direction controls, stop before hand, make sure clear, sound horn continuously until front of train on crossing
