  • call ECO, state ‘this is an emergency call’
  • tell them reason you want it switched off
  • whether any person is in danger of OLE/CR

  • number for ECO to contact you on
  • will be given a message identification number which you need to use when contacting ECO

A
  • contact signaller and inform them of situation
  • find out whether anybody might have fallen from the train
  • secure gangway doors if needed
  • make sure passengers are in safe position
  • secure both portions of the train
  • make sure all vehicles accounted for
  • check couplings to see if they might have damaged track/lineside equipment or if possible to recouple
  • request permission from signaller to re-couple if possible
