only approaching an issue one way; it influences how we think

it influences what we percieve, based off prior experience, etc.
What is intuition?
Our fast, automatic unreasoned feelings and thoughts
What is a representative heuristic?
a mental shortcut where we judge the likelihood of something by how closely it matches our existing mental prototype or stereotype
What are availability heuristics?
estimates how common events are based on mental availability
What is motivated reasoning?
clinging to our beliefs despite contrary evidence
What is framing?
the way we present an issue
