2 So he summoned him and said, ‘What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your management…’
2 Así que lo mandó a llamar y le dijo: “¿Qué es esto que me dicen de ti? Rinde cuentas de tu administración…”.
3a “The manager said to himself, ‘What shall I do now that my master is about to take away my position?’”
3a El administrador reflexionó: “¿Qué voy a hacer ahora que mi amo está por quitarme el puesto?”.
3b I am not strong enough to dig, and I am ashamed to beg.
3b No tengo fuerzas para cavar y me da vergüenza pedir limosna.
4a I have to make sure that, when I am dismissed from my management position, there will be people who will welcome me into their homes.

15b Realize that what people highly value is detestable in the sight of God.

16 “The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John. Since then, the good news of the kingdom of God is being preached, and everyone is striving to enter it.”
16 »La Ley y los Profetas se proclamaron hasta Juan. Desde entonces se anuncian las buenas noticias del reino de Dios y todos se esfuerzan por entrar en él.
17 It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for one tiny stroke of the Law to fall.
17 Es más fácil que desaparezcan el cielo y la tierra que caiga una sola tilde de la Ley.
20a At the gate of his house lay a beggar named Lazarus, who was covered with sores.
20a A la puerta de su casa se tendía un mendigo llamado Lázaro, que estaba cubierto de llagas.
21a [Lazarus] would have liked to fill his stomach with what fell from the rich man’s table.

21b Even the dogs would come and lick his sores.

22a It so happened that the beggar died, and the angels carried him away to be at Abraham’s side.
22a Resulta que murió el mendigo y los ángeles se lo llevaron para que estuviera al lado de Abraham.
24b “Father Abraham, have compassion on me, and tell Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and refresh my tongue, because I am suffering greatly in this flame.”
24b “Padre Abraham, ten compasión de mí y manda a Lázaro que moje la punta del dedo en agua y me refresque la lengua, porque estoy sufriendo mucho en este fuego”.
30 “They will not listen to them [Moses and the Prophets], Father Abraham,’ the rich man replied, ‘but if someone were to appear to them from among the dead, then they would indeed repent.’”
30 “No les harán caso, padre Abraham —respondió el rico—; en cambio, si se les presentara uno de entre los muertos, entonces sí se arrepentirían”.
31 Abraham said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’
31 Abraham le dijo: “Si no hacen caso a Moisés y a los Profetas, tampoco se convencerán aunque alguien se levante de entre los muertos”.
