오늘 친구가 고향을 소개해 주었습니다. 서울은 큰 도시인 데 친구의 고향은 작은 도시입니다. 서울 공기는 좋지 않은 데 친구의 고향은 공기가 깨끗합니다. 서울에는 산이 있는 데 친구의 고향에는 바다가 있습니다. 서울 사람들은 바쁘 게 사는데 친구의 고향 사람들은 한가하게 지냅니다. 친구 의 고향은 살기 좋을 것 같습니다. 친구가 정말 부럽습니다.
Our friend introduced his hometown today. Seoul is a large city but our friend’s hometown is a small one. The air in Seoul is not good but the air in our friend’s hometown is clean. There are mountains in Seoul but there is a sea in our friend’s hometown. The people in Seoul live busy lives while the people in our friend’s hometown have a lot of free time. I feel it would be nice to live in our friend’s hometown. I am envious of our friend.

제니: 1년쯤 됐어요. 고향을 떠난 지 오래 돼서 그리울 때도 있지만 가족들과 자주 전화해서 많이 힘들지 않아요.
Jenny: It has been about a year. Since it’s been so long since left my hometown, there are times when I really miss it. But since I call my family often, it’s not that difficult.

제니: 아니요. 요즘은 한국어가 어려워서 공부하는 시간이 많은데 고향에서는 친구들과 많이 놀았어요. 우리 고향에는 예쁜 공원이 많기 때문에 산책도 자주 했고요.
Jenny: No, I wasn’t. I spend a lot of time studying because the Korean language is difficult these days but when I was in my hometown. I played a lot with my friends. Because there were many beautiful parks in my hometown, I would oftentimes take walks as well.
