Treatments: Acetaminophen, NSAIDS, corticosteroids injections and PT

• Increased stress on joints causing damage to the cartilage
• Considerations: Bone pain is worse with cold and better with heat

• Infection of the bone, caused by bacteria
• Considerations: vitals signs for worsening infection, wound care, maybe surgery

Complications: local bone pain, swelling/redness, fever/chills, drainage, sepsis, bone necrosis
Treatment: ATBs, surgical debridement, drainage of abscesses

• Considerations: pain management and fluids

Complications: throbbing, sharp pain, redness and warmth
Treatment: NSAIDs, Oral steroids

• Type 3 hypersensitivity, immune complexes are found in the synovium, synovial fluid and extra articular leasions
• Considerations: pain management and assist with mobility

Complications: joint pain that lasts more then 30 mins after resting, polyarticular joint swelling
Treatment: DNARDs and NSAIDs
