  • Increased stress on joints causing damage to the cartilage
  • Considerations: Bone pain is worse with cold and better with heat

  • Infection of the bone, caused by bacteria
  • Considerations: vitals signs for worsening infection, wound care, maybe surgery

A

Complications: local bone pain, swelling/redness, fever/chills, drainage, sepsis, bone necrosis
Treatment: ATBs, surgical debridement, drainage of abscesses

  • Considerations: pain management and assist with mobility
