  • Ex: benzoyl Peroxide
  • Acts as a keratolytic, drys out and sheds outer ED layer. also suppresses sebum production
  • SE: local redness, irritation and dry skin
  • Use sunscreen and moisturizers for dryness

  • Ex: Silver Sulfadiazine
  • Releases silver ions toxic to bacteria and fungi, prevents infections in wounds
  • Apply using sterile technique, maintain continuous coverage, not for infant use
